Bundala is one of Asia’s premier birdwatching destinations. A UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, its coastal lagoons, salt pans and scrub jungle attract thousands of migratory birds — especially between September and March — including greater flamingos, painted storks, pelicans, eagles, kingfishers and dozens of other species.
